Earlier this year Houndmouth returned with their thirs album Golden Age, their first release via Reprise Records/Warner Bros. Records. It’s also their first album without former member Katie Toupin and the trio of f Matt Myers, Zak Appleby, and Shane Cody have clearly set a path towards a reinvention of sorts on the new album that incorporates some bigger production elements and a much larger sound compared to the brand of alt-folk rock that put them on the map.
On August 5 they celebrated the release of Golden Age with a brief, slightly stripped down performance at Rough Trade NYC for fans who bought the record from the store, which included a signing after the performance.
