No Middle Name is the solo project of David Bailey of The Title Sequence. He’s recently returned with his latest single, “Sax For Melody.”
It joyfully captures an 80s indie rock aesthetic of songs that you could dance around your room with. There’s a bit of The Smiths in its bassline and dance sensibilities, with a killer sax solo to boot. The song actually came into existence as the reply to a challenge by a friend to make a track with a saxophone solo in it. Glad they did as “Sax For Melody” is a real treat.
