What would you do if you broke up with someone at a laundromat? Well, write a song about it, naturally. At least that’s what Los Angeles musician Rosie Tucker did, resulting in her latest single, “Spinster Cycle.”
The track shows off her smart, tongue-in-cheek songwriting ability in both a humorous and genuinely touching fashion. She knows how to slyly pack a ton of hooks within her songwriting, even though it may not be instantly obvious, but it will be by the time you’re humming along towards the songs end when you’re ready to hit that replay button. It seems geared to soundtrack a charming little indie movie someday.
It’s the second single taken from Tucker’s upcoming EP. I’ve embedded the stream below and you can also find it available to grab at her bandcamp.
