TruthCity is a rapper and songwriter from New York City who recently caught my attention with his track “While you Were Sleeping.
It’s a song that he set out to prove that he didn’t forget his hip hop roots and hoped to lure people in with “flows they were familiar with” and then “body the next verse.” Some slick production and beats pave the foundation for him to shine, although there are elements of trap that may seem familiar, there’s a different shine to his work that you just don’t hear on the radio.
