It’s hard to believe that 2016 would be the year that I finally saw Australian rockers Wolfmother live. You would think it would be about a decade too late, but based on the sold out crowd that was (literally) bouncing along to every one of their hits on March 3, it seems like Andrew Stockdale’s rock group has plenty left to offer.
The stop came in support of Wolfmother’s new album Victorious, released via UMG. They did a few new song, but to the joy of the crowd, they stuck to their guns, playing everything you’d hope to hear from their still rocking 2005 debut album. It’s hard to believe that the album was released over ten years ago. The fact that they were able to drop “Woman” as the third song of their set, speaks for itself.
The always rocking Deap Vally opened things up, with drummer Liv Marsico filling in for the duo’s Julie Edwards, who just had a baby.
