North Carolina electronic duo Slyvan Esso had a huge 2014 and carried that straight into the early parts of 2015. Their currently hard at work on their sophomore album, which the groups Nick Sanborn has used to test some of his own solo material that records under the name Made Of Oak.
He brought his show to Baby’s All Right late into the night on November 13 (I also caught a performance from El Vy beforehand), where he shared with us some sweet electronic jams and remixes that were perfect for a late night on the town. He earned my trust with the tremendous production work he created with Slyvan Esso and his solo stuff saw that promised not only reached, but stretched even further with some more experimental avenues taken.
Keep an eye on some more of his solo material this year. Based on what I heard, it’s going to be special
