Last year Springtime Carnivore, the project of Los Angeles’ Greta Morgan, released her outstanding (self-titled) debut album, which ended up being one of my favorite albums of the year.
She’s still hard at work touring for the record, with a stop here in New York this Friday (7/31) for a performance at Mercury Lounge (tickets are still on sale here). They also just released a great new music video for the lovely album cut “Other Side Of The Boundary.” Directed by Eddie O’Keefe, the video stars different version of Morgan singing along.
Talking about the video with Noisey, Morgan explained the meaning behind the video:
There are borders around every image. Boundaries around each person — and we made them very prominent to represent the wall we all carry around ourselves, which only allows certain people to enter at certain times. The question I’m exploring is when and how can we reach the other side of those divides.
Enjoy the video posted below, along with the rest of Springtime Carnivore’s tour dates.
