New York’s Imaginary People will follow their 2013 debut EP with their debut full-length album Dead Letterbox, which will be released on June 23.
The group has released the album’s first single and lead-track “Simple Life,” a song that lives up to “dance americana” genre title that so many have branded them. There’s a dance element at work with the shiny synth-interplay, but theirs a rootsy american folk-rockness to Dylan Von Wagner’s vocals, along with the steam-rolling guitars.
