Chicago natives Twin Peaks have been touring seemingly non-stop this year, hard at work supporting their rocking album Wild Onion. They don’t have any plans of slowing down, as they are one of the first artists to be announced for SXSW 2015 (yes, it’s around the corner apparently).
I was very impressed with the young band when I caught them at Mercury Lounge in August, and have been anxiously waiting for my second fix ever since. It finally came at the tail end of Brooklynvegan’s fabulous free day party at Baby’s All Right. The group dove into all the best cuts of Wild Onion, powering through the set even though I’m sure they were fatigued from their packed CMJ schedule. The show concluded with guitarist Clay Frankel jumping into the crowd, finishing things off in thunderous style.
With bands like Twin Peaks, the future of rock and roll is looking pretty damn good.
