On Sunday night electronic duo Simian Mobile Disco made their return to New York to play at the always intimate Music Hall of Williamsburg. They played through the entirety of their newly released album Whorl, an album which was recorded live during their performance at Pioneertown using just two modular snyths, two sequencers, and a mixer. Sunday’s performance of Whorl sounded even better live, delivered in a large scale and epic manner that had everyone in the crowd caught up in their energy.
As a huge fan of Arctic Monkeys it was great to be in the presence of their longtime producer James Ford, and to see him work his magic alongside his Simian partner in crime, Jas Shaw.
Check out some more photos from their performance from Sunday night below, all of which were taken by our very own Dana Pacifico.
