With the release of their new album Survival Sounds this week, Rubblebucket have been hard at work supporting it, playing two sold out shows in row at Mercury Lounge + Rough Trade (see my photos/recap of Tuesday’s show at Mercury Lounge here) on Tuesday/Wednesday respectively. Tonight the celebration continued with a intimate performance/listening party on the roof of the Relix/DoNYC building during the early evening.
With Manhattan skyscrapers and an emerging sunset as the backdrop, the group played stripped down versions of tracks off Survival Sounds, as well as the always crowd-pleasing “Came Out Of A Lady.” It was a short but sweet set that served as a perfect finish to their New York run.
