Michael Leonard Witham is a folk artist out of Little Rock, Arkansas whose career in music started with humble beginnings. In the summer of 2010 he found a worn-out Yamaha acoustic guitar in a dumpster behind a strip mall, and ended up fixing it up and began writing music with it non-stop. Soon an iphone recording of his was chosen as one of a handful of artists to perform at the Arkansas Times Musician’s Showcase. Suddenly, he was well on his way.
Now he’s crafted his art and is preparing the release of his debut album A Scandal In The Violets, due out this October. Below, check out the harmonica driven folk on “Oh The Evil !!!” a homey track taken from the album. It’s as personal as you can get.
