Operators is the new band of Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs, Divine Fits) who has teamed up with fellow Divine Fits member Sam Brown and Devojka. The new project is more of the electronic-rock with a heavy dance flavor. If you like his work with Divine Fits, you’ll love Operators. They aim to make the type of music that just hits you instantly and makes you want to groove along.
I saw them play their first NYC show during Northside Festival a few weeks ago and was blown away (a post is on the way soon). One of the standout tracks was “True”, the first song that the trio have released so far. It just strikes you immediately, hitting you hard with an overload of synths and electronic wooshes, that all aim to please your senses. If you’re not grooving along to it, you gotta check your pulse.
