Have you seen Diarrhea Planet live yet? If not, you’re missing out on one of the best live acts currently on tour. Get over their name. These Nashville boys can flat out shred. I first caught them at Made In America last summer, and then again at Glasslands during the winter. Both times they wowed me at their ability to bring their garage rock to fruition in such a fun no holds barred sort of way.
Diarrhea Planet were a wonder to behold live during their 12:45 p.m. set at Governors Ball Day 2. They were constantly jumping in the air with their guitars, or climbing the scaffolding to worrysome lengths, playing guitar solos with just their legs hooked around the pole for support. They have no problem trusting the crowd to hold them up as they crowdsurf with guitar in hand. They’re loud, play fast, and look like they’re having a blast doing it.
Don’t miss them the next time they’re playing near you. Trust me on it.
