It’s been too long since we’ve gotten new tunes from Louisville’s best kept secret, The Deloreans. We had the honor of hosting them at our CMJ show last year, where they floored me. I remember hearing one impressive new track from that performance, and now they’ve shared the recorded form of that song with the world. It’s called “As Long As It’s You” and it’s the first track shared from their upcoming new album, due out this August.
It takes time to build, but once it does, it releases a ton of shear emotion that steamrolls you all at once. The simple pound of the kickdrum gives it a slow but elegant into point as it starts to build. Along come some synths and then the incredible vocals of Jeremy Perry that are every bit noteworthy. It’s a cinematic journey of the highs and lows of love that we all go through eventually.
The Deloreans are very much doing their own thing, and it shows. “As Long As It’s You” is a refreshingly sincere and original piece that deserves your attention. Find it posted below. The limited 7″ single is now available to purchase.
