We’ve heard a great deal about the Michael Bay produced reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (directed by Jonathan Liebesman). Being a large childhood staple for many people, there has naturally been plenty of questions and concerns about how it would all be handled. Today we have our first look as the teaser trailer has been released.
In the teaser trailer we hear Shredder (William Fichtner) discussing with reporter April O’Neil (Megan Fox) how that crime is destroying their great city. They need heroes, but according to him, heroes aren’t born, they are created. So there’s your answer as to how the turtles came into existence.
The teaser also provides some brief, but cool, action footage, as well as a quick look at the turtles themselves. A serious tone is felt, but is soon lightened as we get some quick interaction between O’Neil and Michelangelo (Noel Fisher).
It looks like they’ve done right with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The look of the Turles isn’t half bad either. Overall, it looks like TMNT will be a fun time.
Count me in, I’m looking forward to checking it out when it comes out in theaters on August 8. Find the trailer posted below, along with the first official image from the film.
