It seems like all the artists I never thought I would get to see live are suddenly reuniting one by one. It was Neutral Milk Hotel this year, and now it looks like The Unicorns may be next.

Last week band member Alden Penner announced that they recently acquired back their master rights to their classic 2003 album Who Will Cut Our Hair When We’re Gone? and may reissue it with some additional recordings that never made the cut. They also would play some shows for the first time in many years, including major cities such as New York, L.A., Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. All of this is up in the air, but the fact that the band are even considering it is a good thing.

Nick Thorburn isn’t quite as optimistic, as he told Spin that we shouldn’t get our hopes up as its just talks for now.

If a reunion does go down its quite a bit away, but we can keep our fingers crossed and hope that it all works out.
