Tomorrow is the big day. Arctic Monkeys headline MSG in their biggest American show to date. I asked you guys, their biggest fans, to share thoughts on the show, and what its significance means to you.
A few of you guys took the time to write something, which is easier said than done, so thanks to you guys that actually took the time to participate. I appreciate it.
Instead of compiling all them together, I’m going to release them one by one, so each person’s post gets their own individual spotlight. Here’s our next submission, from Juan Gracia.
Juan Gracia:
As I think of my favorite band performing at Madison Square Garden, I realize how this gig will bring them closer to fame in the United States. I am from south Texas and the band is not very popular here; however, I myself am I huge fan.
Even though they are not so popular in my hometown, I have witnessed the different mindset people have of Arctic Monkeys in different places around the nation. It seems as though they have accumulated many fans along the way when they dropped their latest album, “AM.” After their album released, I noticed within time more Arctic Monkeys fans become more involved in online discussions about them. The fan base completely skyrocketed and they are now to the point where they are performing at one of the biggest music stages of all time: Madison Square Garden.
I am sincerely overjoyed at the success Arctic Monkeys have accomplished. They are living the dream by playing the best music around the world. Now that Arctic Monkeys are becoming more well known, the expectations just keep getting higher, and this band somehow seems to exceed them every time. Constant sellouts and headlining numerous festivals is only a small achievement for the Monkeys. Already having five #1 albums in the United Kingdom shows how these boys have the potential to also make it in America. Arctic Monkeys have been obsession for years and I can truly say they will always be my favorite band. The United States will have plenty to offer them in the near future as they gain success and fans along the way.
