Yesterday U2 premiered a minute long clip of there new song “Invisible” as a commercial during the Superbowl. They have partnered up with the charity (RED) and Bank of America to give the song away for free on iTunes for today only. For every download of the song on iTunes, Bank Of America will donate $1 to the fund which works to fight AIDs, tuberculosis and malaria.
“Invisible,” which was produced by Danger Mouse is quite alright. It has that typical grandiose uplifting feel, with Danger Mouse’s influence definitely felt. Some good slinky guitar work from The Edge. It’s good to hear the band back at work.
The song should appear on the band’s new album (expected for release this summer), but won’t be the first single.
Head to iTunes to grab your download of the track and find the SuperBowl commercial clip below.
