Phil Everly, one half of the legendary duo, The Everly Brothers, has passed away. He was 74.
According to USA Today, he died in Burbank on Friday due to complications from a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease due to heavy smoking.
The Everly Brothers influence on music was undeniable, influencing acts such as The Beatles, The Byrds, and Simon & Garfunkel through their legendary and unmistakable harmonies that were huge through the ’50’s and early ’60’s.
In honor of Phil, I’ve shared The Everly Brothers classic “All I Have To Do Is Dream” below.
R.I.P. Phil.
