It’s been quite some time since Daft Punk performed live (since December, 2007, to be exact). So it’s a pretty big deal to hear that they will be performing live at The Grammy Awards on January 26, 2014.
Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich told Rolling Stone that Daft Punk agreed to be a part of the telecast because they had such a good time performing with Kanye at the Grammy’s back in 2008, their last televised performance.
Ehrlich described the performance as: “A collaborative and celebratory stage performance that honors their multi-nominated music.”
The duo have yet to play any recent live dates for Random Access Memories, so hopefully if this goes well, it will motivate them to finally do a proper tour, because it’s about time I got to see them.
