Edge Of Tomorrow, the Tom Cruise-starring film previously known as All You Need Is Kill (based on a novel of the same name) finally gets its trailer released.
The epic action of Edge of Tomorrow unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has invaded Earth in an unrelenting assault. Cruise plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage, am officer dropped into a dangerous mission that ends up killing him. Oddly enough, Cage finds himself stuck in a time loop repeating the fight to his death, over and over again.
With every new attempt, Cage gets better and better, along with a little help from a Special Forces warrior named Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt). With every new “day”, they become a step closer to defeating their enemy. The real question becomes, how much can Cage change in these loops, and can he possibly save the world, or himself?

The trailer shows us a little bit of the battle that Cage goes through, as well as his encounter with Vrataski. It looks like this could be an exciting mind-bender, maybe something similar to Source Code. Hopefully director Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr & Mrs. Smith, Jumper) has got it all under control.
