Grimes has taken one big step closer to the big time, just like Robinson Cano. She’s signed with Jay Z’s Roc Nation ], as she announced on her tumblr with a post of the photo you see above and the following message: “ive joined the x men”, with x men linking to the Grimes Roc Nation artist page.
This is the same management deal that artists like Timbaland, Shakira, Kyle Minogue, Rihanna, M.I.A., and Haim are signed to. So you know that this is a big move for Grimes, and is the official signal that Claire Boucher is no longer the girl releasing small independent stuff. But as long as the music quality stays the same, it won’t matter too much.
