Phantogram will release a new album titled Voices on February 18 via Republic Records. This comes after releasing their self-titled EP earlier this year, and almost 4 years since their debut album came out, back in 2010. The album was recorded with producer John Hill in Los Angeles.
The announcement comes with a listen of the album’s first single, “Fall In Love.” What starts with an almost orchestra start is only a teaser. Soon the song kicks into a full out electronic thump jam. Phantogram are back in full force, creating a dizzying flurry of sounds and effects that have become very much their trademark. It’s a jittery and choppy song that is a monster on the production side of things.
This is the type of music that you just want to play at maximum volumes. It wouldn’t make sense not to.
