Nashville based band Wild Cub brought their vintage dance-rock to CMJ and had me instantly hooked from beginning to end at Pianos for Floating Fest. They have a knack for producing some funky rock music that will get you dancing in no time.
Imagine a world where Wild Nothing, Two Door Cinema Club, and Craft Spells were rolled into one giant musical ball. That’s a big generalization of their sound, but if you dig those type of rock-based dance vibes, you’ll really enjoy Wild Cub. They released their debut album Youth last year, and just recently signed with Mom + Pop.
Check out their wonderful track “Thunder Clatter” below, as well as a song that I recorded from their set and a few more photos.
