We’re still some ways away until Interstellar’s November 7, 2014, release date, but the news keeps on coming. We just saw that Matt Damon joined the cast, and now we have some plot details. Mind you, these are very small details, but they are details nonetheless.

In an article published by the Macleod Gazette about Interstellar’s filming in their neck of the woods, they shared this little bit of juicy plot detail:

Set in the future, the movie details the toll climate change has taken on agriculture, with corn the last crop to be cultivated. The scientists embark on a journey through a worm hole into other dimensions in search of somewhere other crops can be grown

Was this what you expected the film to be about? We knew that it revolved around characters entering wormholes in space, but this just makes it even more interesting. We can always trust that director Christopher Nolan will deliver the goods, so lets just sit back and watch how the rest of the films production unfolds.
