French film Blue Is The Warmest Colour is a film I’m looking forward to seeing at the New York Film Festival this year, and for good reason. It’s been one of the more hyped films for both the NYFF and the Toronto Film Festival, and it tells what looks like an extremely riveting tale.
It was directed by Abdellatif Kechiche, and won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Festival this year. It shows what happens when two teenage girls (Adèle Exarchopoulos & Léa Seydoux) fall in love and how it alters their lives. It’s rated NC-17, and will be released via Sundance Selects, putting it in theaters on Octrober 25.
Glad to see they kept the film as the director wanted, as a NC-17 won’t stop anyone who wants to see the film from seeing it. Check out the trailer below.
