Cut Copy secretly released a new song called “Let Me Show You” over the weekend, only, it wasn’t by conventional means. At the Pitchfork Music Festival they set up a booth that would cut copies (wow, I swear, that actually wasn’t intentional when I first typed it) of the single live in front of you. 120 copies were made, making it super limited, and making me very jealous.
Thankfully one person was cool enough to share the song and vinyl with us on youtube. Thanks to him we have an unofficial official listen to the new song.
“Let Me Show You” takes a page out of the 90s house music world with some heavy bass and trippy sounds. It’s still very much Cut Copy, but they’ve found a way to transform their sound yet again. This song is going to sound freaking huge once we get a proper rip to sink our teeth into.
Not sure if it will appear on their new album, but I’m guessing/hoping that it will along with “Explorers” the new song that they’ve been playing live.
Take a listen to “Let Me Show You” below.
