Adam Horovitz, better known as Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys to most of us, is in discussions to join Noah Baumbach’s latest film, While We’re Young. According to The Wrap a source that is apparently close to the project has filled them in on this bit of news. For those of you who are unaware, acting isn’t new to Horovitz. He acted in a few movies throughout the 80s & 90s, although it’s almost been 20 years since his last real role.
The film looks at a married couple (Ben Stiller/Naomi Watts) who develops an odd friendship with a young free-spirit sort of couple (Adam Driver/Amanda Seyfried). Very odd couple pairings, but knowing that Baumback is writing/directing this, I’m sure he will make it work. Where does Horovitz fit in to all this? He would apparently play a friend of Stiller/Watts who recently became a father and finds a disconnect to the recent young adventuring that they’re taking a part in.
Sounds interesting. The film is currently still setting up production so we’re a long way off from it’s release, but this sounds exciting.
