The first trailer for the long awaited ‘300’ sequel, ‘300: Rise Of An Empire’ does exactly what it needed to. Give us plenty of the same Zach Snyder stylized violence and color palette and update us on where the story is going.
This time we follow the Greek General Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) as he battles Persian king Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his ally, Artemisia (Eva Green). The film will also take a look at how Xerxes got into his position as king.
While I enjoyed 300, I do feel like it was slightly overrated. While I may not be as excited about the sequel as everyone else, I am still interested in checking it out and see how Snyder handles this film after the massive success of the first one.
