The first trailer for ‘Elysium’ got me really excited, but this new trailer puts things on another level. For those of you who aren’t familiar with, ‘Elysium’ it’s the new film from Neill Blomkamp who directed and wrote ‘District 9.’
It’s an exciting sci-fi film that looks like it has enormous potential. It takes place in the year 2154 where the poor are stuck to live on Earth while the rich live on Elysium, a stanford torus that orbits the earth , free of any problems at all. The film stars Matt Damon as Max De Costa, a man who suddenly finds himself with nothing left to lose and takes on a dangerous mission that will take him to Elysium where he will have to battle Elysium’s top forces: Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster) and Lruger (Sharlto Copley).
This 2nd trailer is longer than the first, and makes the film look even more exciting. I trust that Blomkamp won’t disappoint us with ‘Elysium’, and we could be looking at yet another sci-fi classic from the South African-Canadian filmmaker.
‘Elysium’ comes out August 9, which is a lot closer than I realized. I cannot wait. Check out the latest trailer below.
