Any day you get news of a new Arctic Monkeys album marks a terrific day. Today is a terrific day. The album, the bands 5th, is titled AM and will be released via Domino on September 10th (Sep. 9 in the U.K.).
You already heard first single “Do I Wanna Know?”, as well as the live performance of “Mad Sounds.” It also features last year’s single release, “R U Mine?”.
AM will see guest appearances from Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme, as well as Bill Ryder-Jones and Pete Thomas. It features 12 songs, some with quite interesting titles, such as: “No. 1 Party Anthem” and “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?”. As usual, James Ford produced the album. Co-production came from Ross Orton at Rancho De La Luna, Joshua Tree, and Sage & Sound Recording in L.A. Ian Shea engineered it, and Tchad Blake mixed it.
The album is available for pre-order now, which include a limited deluxe LP.
