It’s been a long wait, but the first teaser trailer is here for Edgar Wright’s The World’s End. It’s the the 3rd and final film in the “Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy”, his comedy trilogy that began with Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz. We have been reading about the film for a long time, so it feels good to finally get to see some actual footage.
The film is a tale of five childhood friends (starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) that reunite to try and re-attempt an epic pub crawl that they failed at 20 years prior, except things don’t go quite as they planned. The film has one hints and odes to both Shaun/Hot Fuzz, especially one that you can’t miss if you treasure Shaun Of The Dead as much as me. It looks like a terrific batch of fun.
Wright directed it and co-wrote it with Pegg.

The World’s End comes out in the U.S. on August 23rd and in the U.K. July 19.
