Before anyone smites me with your too-cool for Kelis swords of wisdom, slow down. Yes, I am sharing a track from Kelis, and yes, it’s extremely good.
It’s a new song called “Jerk Ribs”, off her new album Food which was produced by TV On The Radio‘s Dave Sitek, who will release it on his label Federal Prism. Think of it as a super collaboration between a never-been-better Kelis and TV On The Radio. Throw in her soulful sounding vocals with some TV On The Radio horns, and you got one great track.
