Painted Palms is the partnership of cousins Reese Donohue and Chris Prudhomme. They have released a single called “Carousel” that is dreamy in all the right ways. Polyvinyl will release it on March 5. The band’s debut EP Canopy got approval from of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes, which led to an opening gig for them.
“Carousel” has a cool, relaxed, laid back vibe that is hard to shake off. These guys have got a sound that fits right in the dream-pop wheelhouse. Give it a spin below. An album is on the way later in 2013.
