The Postal Service came onto the scene in 2003 and took the world by storm with their now classic album Give Up. The duo of Ben Gibbard & Jimmy Tamborello did big things 10 years ago, and we never really heard much from them since. They have said in interviews that no new album is likely, and they barely toured back when the album came out. But it looks like things have changed, and a 10-year anniversary tour may be in-store. The band have a website now, with the image that you see above. A reunion seems to be on the way, to the surprise of you, me, and everyone else.
According to Billboard, Sub Pop is planning to release a deluxe edition of Give Up to go along with the anniversary. The band is pretty much confirmed to show up at Coachella, and they are likely to announce more tour dates. You can bet I will be at any NYC show that comes this way.
I’ll update you as soon as I know more.
