The Smiths legend Johnny Marr is finally (officially) going solo. He is releasing his debut album, The Messenger, on February 26 via Sire/ADA. It was written and produced by Marr himself, and was recorded in Manchester/Berlin earlier in the year and mastered at Abbey Road.
I’m excited to see what Johnny can do all on his own, and even more excited at a shot to see him live at some point next year as he is planning to tour.
