I thought I had a relative grip on the amount of popularity that The Weeknd has in 2012. Well after seeing him briefly at Terminal 5 last night, I realize I really had no clue. The sold out show had tons of people begging for a way to get in outside, and everyone in the crowd (mostly females), turned on the screams for what seemed like forever, the minute that Abel took the stage.
I am not the biggest Weeknd fan by any means, but the man has one hell of a voice. I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of his live performance/presence, but he delivered. The man is already a star in ways, but after seeing him dominate the stage at Terminal 5, there’s no doubt that he is going to go on and conquer even bigger ones someday.
