So somehow it worked out that there would be two bands coming out this year named Peace. One is a band from Birmingham who released one of the years best EPs. The other one is Vancouver-based and has released a well received new album. We need to find a way to make sure people can distinguish between them, as both are worth knowing.
In this post, I am sharing the good stuff from The Vancouver Peace’s new album, World Is Too Much With Us. They are offering a free mp3 download of a “Tattoo” a song that oddly caught my ear, with a middle eastern influence hidden within and a overall dark tone. It is definitely a song whose mood would suite a foggy night.
[mp3]: Peace – Tattoo
This is also similar with another great track from the album titled “Your Hand In Mine”. It doesn’t jump out at you instantly, but slowly it works its own magic and becomes rather catchy. Personally, those songs tend to be ones that stick in the rotation quite a bit.
