Childhood are a group of Londoners who formed out of Nottingham University last year. They have a single called “Blue Velvet” that deserves your time and love, immediately. It’s a good old fashioned guitar rocker that mingles with a tint of nostalgia, and a permanent glare left by summer’s warm touch.

At the core of the track sits a feeling of youth and excitement, when your outlook is bright, and your time spent with friends makes it even brighter.

There’s just something so enduring and special about a young band like this producing such an incredible song so early in their years.

House Anxiety will release a limited 7″ of the single on November 17 featuring a b-side titled “Bond Girls.”

Childhood are about to tour the UK with another recent young British act we’re excited about, Palma Violets.
