I arrived during the tail end of song 3 of Cloud Nothings set, and boy, what a change the band has gone through since I saw them last January. Based on their surprisingly heavier new album, Attack On Memory, I knew it was coming. But seeing it in person really made me realize just how far they’ve come in such a short period of time.
At the end of their set the Chicago sky graced the festival grounds with a heavy set of rain that must have been the skies way of releasing some of the tension that the band’s music pumped into the air. They were that powerful.
