Ever since being featured in the film Drive, it seems like Chromatics have really switched gears from going to a great under-appreciated act, to one of the unstoppable forces of the year. The band walked out on stage with a serious sense of momentum and confidence that carried out impressively. I only saw the front-end of their set here, as I caught their after-party of the same day (more on that later). For a band that basically makes nighttime soundtracks, they polished things off quite nicely during the day, making me ever so glad I bought tickets for the after-show, which I knew would be even more epic.
