Honored to co-premiere Highland’s “Railroad” with some other great music sites: Beats Per Minute, Rawkblog, Listen Before You Buy and The Blue Indian. Highlands, a band from Long Beach, is releasing their debut album Singularity on June 23. “Railroad” is the albums first single.
The thunderous guitars create fuzz that could have been a soundtrack for a bad dream gone good. There’s a element of shoe-gaze that helps create a dreamy sensation picked up perfectly by the vocals. Reminds me a bit of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, which is a good thing from where I’m standing.
