For months now I’ve been teasing you with great little blips from Overdrive Sunrise, the debut album from Dusk Warrior. The band consists of my friend Nicholas Shapiro and his pal Mike Osso. They hail from my hometown of Rockland County, New York, and I couldn’t be any prouder of what these guys have done with the LP.
I’ve posted many songs from this album in the past, which have been remastered with all kinds of love. The new songs flesh the album out to 10 glorious tracks that will help guide the closing hours of this magical summer. They are 10 cinematic instrumentals that say so much through the emotions of instruments. So many different moods and themes are captured during the album’s honest 30 minute run time. It’s really amazing.
Not many instrumental albums sound this lively and visceral. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: Tarintino should really give these guys a call.
The whole album is available for you to download for free at their bandcamp page. You can also listen to it below. You won’t be disappointed, I promise.
