Noel Gallagher has finally stepped from behind the shadows, revealing his solo intentions. His brother Liam has basically continued Oasis minus Noel in the form on Beady Eye. Noel Gallagher has just announced that he will release his solo album, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, October 17 in the UK via Noel’s own Sour Mash imprint. A U.S. release will come on November 8 on Sour Mash/Mercury.
The album was recorded in London and completed in Los Angeles during 2010 and the first half of 2011. A second album, a companion to the debut, is the result of Noel’s continued collaboration with the Amorphous Androgynous, and will be released in 2012. Check out a recent tweet from his brother that is no doubt a reaction to Noel’s news.
