It’s obvious that Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has had a huge impact on the drugged out turn Arctic Monkeys had on Humbug. Naturally, most fans were curious if Homme worked with the band on LP4. We all hoped/assumed that he would contribute, and now we have concrete proof. According to Alex Turner himself, Josh Homme did contribute some backing vocals on the album.

Turner delivered the news in an interview with The Independent about Submarine. Some fans were worried that the band were just going to be adding Alex’s solo version of Submarine EP standout, “Piledriver Waltz” . Rest assured folks, Turner also told them that the version of “Piledriver Waltz” that’s on the album is a new full-band version of the song.

The entire interview is a must read for Arctic Monkeys fans. It gives you a lot of insight on what went on with the Submarine EP. Him and director Richard Ayoade also speak about the bands past music videos. Check it out.

Update: According to AMUS, Suck It And See is complete. Mixing and all. Get excited folks!
