I have an amazing new act to share with you guys. If you like the emotional electronic pop of acts like Passion Pit, then you will absolutely love Night Surgeon. It’s the Portland, Oregon duo of Patrick Replogle and John Boyd. On February 15th they will release their debut album Day For Night via Too Dark Records. The album was recorded in Portland, and was produced and mixed by Gabriel Espinosa who has worked with acts like Blondie and Fischerspooner.

It’s an album that delights with ease, consisting of 9 songs just shy of 40 minutes. Each song is a synth delight with an emotional journey attached. Night Surgeon grab your hand and take you through their personal sonic landscapes of musical bliss. These songs drip with passion and sharp musicianship. You won’t want to let go because their music will fix and heal your soul. Surgeon’s indeed.

I usually have no problem selecting highlights to share, but it was a tough call with Day For Night. Each song proudly makes a case for it’s deserving mark on the album. After some debate, I would like to share with you “Roman Error” and “Color Me Black and White”, two tracks that I dare you to dislike. Give them a listen below, and please let me know what you think.

Keep an eye on these guys. They got a great future ahead of them.
