Chris, the good guy behind Gorillavsbear has been on top of the game lately. He has always been great with finding some amazing gem’s in the indie music scene, but lately he has just been $$. He posted about a band called Cults at midnight today, and the comment section has been exploding with positive feedback. I gotta say, it’s well warranted. He posted the song “Go Outside” from their Cults 7 inch which is a 3 song ep that is free to download at their bandcamp page.

The song that I am going to share with you is called “Go Outside” and it’s a damn fine piece of music. When I first pressed play, the first thing that came to my mind was that this sounded like it came out of another era. Basicall it’s a vintage 1960’s pop tune. It features gentle vocals from a female/male, light instrumentation, and favorable playing of the xylophone (what a great little instrument!). This song was a pleasant surprise, and it really makes me long for beautiful summertime weather.

One word is really necessary to describe the song: Genuine

Grab the rest of the ep and enjoy. Nothing else is known about this mysterious band, but here is hoping that they will come to us with some more info!
