Unless you are living in a bubble, you are aware that the Yankees, the greatest team in sports history, won the World Series on Wednesday! I was lucky enough to have tickets for the game, and witnessed history.

What an experience! Seeing a team win the world series is rare enough, but being there when they win is just unbelievable! I feel so fortunate to have gone! I will never, ever, forget it.

I have been replaying the game ending play over and over. After Robinson Cano made the throw to Texiera, absolute chaos occured. Everyone in the stands was jumping up and down, screaming franctically, high fiving and hugging everyone in site. The team was jumping on top of each other on the field with “We Are The Champions” blasting from the speakers. Then the Yankees ran around the field with a Yankee flag high fiving fans and just acting like kids.

I actually predicted a possible World Series win this year, when I made this post in April. Weird right??

I am still taking it all in, this is the first world series win that I am really old enough to enjoy! Back in ’98-2000 I was too young to really grasp the scope of a title. Now I completely understand how amazing it is.

Here’s my blog toast to the Yankees, and to all you fans out there!! To the envious Phillies, Red Sox, and Met fans, sorry! :-p

Congrats on the win Yankees, and here’s to #28 next year!!!!
