Supergroups are always nice. However, it is very rare that you see one as powerful as Monsters Of Folk. This group consists of Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes), M Ward (also in She & Him), Jim James (singer and guitarist of My Morning Jacket), and producer Mike Mogis.
They gave out a song called “Say Please” for free on their website today. All you had to do was solve a simple riddle, and the track was all yours. The track had more of a classic southern rocker than folk sound. With all of the talent they have in this group, I can’t imagine this thing failing. Their self titled debut comes out September 22.
